My Marin Horizon Summer Camp experience
By Jesse Roberts, grade 3, Marin Horizon School
I like Marin Horizon School Summer Camp because you get to swim, play outside and do fun scavenger hunts. My favorite scavenger hunt was when we were told a magical elf named Fernando V Lamadeus had made special notes on paper that were clipped in different places for us to find. I remember being excited when I found the first note that said, “You’ll find your first clue in the ‘grounds of playing’.” I also love the swimming in the pool by our camp. We get to free swim, then we have a lesson and after that, more free swim. The counselors are awesome. Milton is one of my favorites and is super funny. He is also a good friend now. He made an amazing crown for me out of cardboard and glitter that was the first letter of my name— “J.” I still have it in my bedroom. Charlie is also nice, he’s kind of like a life coach.
I think other kids would like this camp because the field trips are fun— we went to the Aquarium in San Francisco. We also get to cook and it’s fun to get the treat after you’ve made it; our mini pizzas were amazing! Try Marin Horizon School Summer Camp because it is the experience of a lifetime!
