Ever since the release of the second Shrek movie, Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas) has made his mark as the sassy outlaw cat with an innocent kitty that clashes with his deep voice. But little did we know the legendary fighter and his infamous boots had a history filled with friendship, betrayal, and heroism long before he was introduced in the Shrek movies. Along with “mastermind” “Humpty Alexander Dumpty” (Zach Galifianakis) and classy fighter “Kitty Softpaws” (Salma Hayek), Puss embarks upon a journey involving some magical beans and the fabled Golden Goose, impeded by evil antagonists Jack and Jill. He fights to save his hometown while discovering the importance bravery, perseverance, camaraderie, and, of course, love. This epic fairy-tale based comedy is anything but an unsuccessful spin-off; it tells the deep-rooted story of the adventures and triumphs of “the cat, the myth, the legend:” Puss in Boots.
